Aerial

Works that look straight down on the earth: salt ponds in coral and turquoise, a glacial delta over black sand, vineyards and tea terraces following the hills, ice floes on dark water, snowy fields drawn in thin lines. Seen from above, landscape turns into pattern, and each image moves freely between landscape and abstract painting.

Aerial works are among the most versatile in the gallery. Their graphic structure suits offices, boardrooms and receptions, they speak to architects and designers, and the warmer pieces bring colour to restaurants and living rooms without the narrative weight of a scene.
