Branches of cherry blossom lean over a still lake veiled in mist. Soft pink petals fill the upper part of the frame, while the water below dissolves into pale grey. The light is diffuse and gentle, the palette restricted to pastel tones. The image has the restraint of an ink painting, with large areas of calm space and a delicate line of blossom across them.
The pastel palette suits practices, spas, bedrooms and hotel rooms where calm matters more than contrast. It pairs with white and grey walls, pale wood, linen and blush textiles. It works in soft daylight and needs no special lighting, and its gentle tones read well at close range in smaller rooms.
