A single arching branch of white orchids crosses the frame against a deep forest green background. Soft, directional light picks out the curve of each petal and leaves the background dark and even. The composition is minimal and elegant, with generous empty space around the branch. The contrast between the pure white blooms and the dense green gives the image its calm, refined character.
Its restraint suits medical and dental practices, hotel suites, reception areas and executive offices. It pairs with dark green or white walls, walnut, brass and marble. The portrait format fits narrow walls and corridors, and the image works well under soft, indirect light. It reads clearly at close range and from across a waiting room.
