A ridge of snow shaped by the wind is reduced to almost nothing: white snow, a pale sky and one fine line of blue shadow running across the frame. The picture is high-key and nearly abstract, white on white, with the shadow as the only drawn element. It asks for close attention and rewards it with subtle shifts of tone across the snow.
