A steep slope of pine trees disappears into dense fog. The nearest trees are dark and sharply drawn, and behind them each row is a shade lighter, until the forest dissolves into white. In black and white the image becomes a study in layered tones, like a sequence of grey veils. It is quiet and meditative, with no single focal point, only depth.
The image suits rooms for concentration and rest: consulting rooms, offices, meditation spaces and libraries. Monochrome makes it easy to combine with almost any material, from black steel and walnut to white oak and linen. The portrait format suits narrow walls, and the soft gradations are best seen in even daylight from two to three metres.
