A mountain lake lies perfectly still at dawn and reflects a row of jagged peaks on its surface. Soft mist drifts low over the water. In the foreground a small wooden rowing boat is moored at the shore, giving scale and a quiet point of focus. The reflection doubles the mountains, so the image is almost symmetrical along the waterline, calm and balanced.
This is a restful image for bedrooms, hotel rooms, waiting areas and treatment rooms. The wide format fits above beds, benches and sofas, and the cool blues and greys sit easily with linen, light wood, wool and stone. It works in soft, indirect light and from almost any distance, which makes it adaptable to many rooms.
